The marketing of the products resulting from the recycling and reclamation of used tires produced in Reunion island (overseas French department) is the main activity of the SOLYVAL company.
1. Presentation OF THE 'SOLYVAL' COMPANY: LET'S GO TOWARD THE FUTURE!
SOLYVAL, set up on the harbour of Reunion island, is an industrial platform of collection, regrouping, sorting, recycling and reclamation of used tires. Therefore, SOLYVAL is an element of the field of the recycling and reclamation of used tires in Reunion island, field that is unique in the Indian Ocean and, moreover, that complies with all the European and French regulations in force as far as hygiene, safety, and quality regards are concerned.
SOLYVAL recycles and reclaim nearly 4000 tons of used tires per year i. E. The majority of the annual production of used tires in Reunion island. It is significant to notice that the very strong growth rate of the economy of Reunion island (more than 6% per year) -notably in the vehicle market-lead to a permanent increase, year after year, of this tonnage of tires.
Our high crushing capacity ensures the durability of our field in a perfect respect of the environment: we guarantee a total respect of the quality and delivery periods of our products, even if tonnage are very important.
2. Our RECYCLING PROCESS: THE GUARANTEE OF A QUALITY SERVICE!
The recycling of tires is exclusively obtained through a cold mechanical treatment (thanks to the technology of the MTB company) without any addition of any additive.
It is significant to note that this mechanical process does not consume nor reject any solid matter, liquid or gas into the environment other than those constitutive of the tires (so, no rejections of worn water) , uses exclusively electric power (so, no air pollution) and does not produce any residue that can not be reclaimed.
Our recycling process-at the top of the technology and that complies with all the European and French standards in force-comprises various reductions of sizes and also various sorting stages of the tires.
So, the tire will be cut out, crushed and the steel (steel carcass present in tires) and textile present in the tire will be removed. Several separations-through a process of progressive reduction of size-guarantee the quality and the extreme purity (> 98% ) of the final rubber crumbs. Whatever the type of tire (cars, trucks, etc. ) , SOLYVAL guarantees the same degree of quality and purity of its products. Our rigorous treatment process guarantees a perfect traceability and transparency to you and that, in a model of environmental respect.
Some reinforced and permanent controls levels at each stage of the platform operations upstream from the recycling process (collection, regrouping and sorting) ensure a total traceability and quality of the tires intended to be recycled.
Lastly, reinforced and permanent controls levels (notably via systematic and random sampling) at each stage of our recycling process and products packing lines-which are subjected to an extremely rigorous maintenance plan-guarantee an irreproachable result.
3. Our RECYCLING PROCESS: THE GUARANTEE OF TOP QUALITY PRODUCTS
With all these mechanical stages, the following products are available:
1) Tire scraps: crushed tires
- Size range: from 50 to 180 mm, available upon request,
- Composition: synthetic rubber (SBR, NBR) , steel filings, textile fillings.
2) Tire rubber crumbs or fine powder:
- Various sizes from 0, 0 to 10, 0 mm, available upon request,
- Composition: synthetic rubber (SBR, NBR) ; Purity > 98% .
3) Textile fillings:
- Composed of rayon, polyester, nylon and aramid,
- Small presence of rubber crumbs and powder (< 2% ) .
4) Steel filings: steel rods, cables and skeleton
- High-resistance and strongly carbonaceous,
- Small presence of rubber crumbs and powder (< 2% )
