[cf. The specifications sheets of the products: rubber crumbs and fine rubber powder].

The steel casing (overlapped in the rubber of the tires scraps) is made of a strongly carbonaceous steel [cf. The specifications sheet of the product: steel filings].

The textile casing ply (overlapped in the rubber of the tires scraps) is made of a mixture of 4 types of fibres: aramide, nylon, polyester and rayon [cf. The specifications sheet of the product: textile filling].

APPARENT DENSITY ( WITHOUT COMPRESSING) :
506 KG / m3 or 0, 506 (adimensional) .

INDUSTRIAL PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING:
Exclusively with a cold mechanical crushing of the tires.

The process used does not require and does not reject any kind of solid, liquid or gas additives.

CHARACTERISTIC DIMENSIONS:
from 5, 5 to 18 cm, average: ~12 cm;

DENSITY:
from 2 to 4 times lower than for the equivalent natural materials according to the size of the tires scraps (cf. 'apparent DENSITY (WITHOUT COMPRESSING) ') ;

POROSITY-INDEX OF THE VACUUMS:
from 37 to 79% according to the size, against 12 to 50% for natural materials;

HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY:
from 5x10^-5 to 0, 55 m / s even under a pressure of 1000 T / m2, against 10^-4 m / s

COMPRESSIBILITY:
 from 30 to 60% , i. E. 7 times more than for equivalent natural materials;

COMPACTION:
from 35 to 73 kN / m3 against 20 to 25 kN / m3 for the gravels;

SHEAR STRENGTH:
equivalent to usual materials;

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY: 3 times less than for equivalent natural materials.
